Meet Alloy

Alloy Market was founded by Brandon Aversano, whose family’s ties to Pennsylvania’s metals industry date back to 1946, when his great-grandfather started an aluminum tank business in Philadelphia. Years later, when Brandon sold gold to cover medical bills, he saw firsthand how unfair and pushy pawn shop offers could be.

That experience inspired him to create Alloy Market, a place where people could sell their gold and silver jewelry without the pressure and hassle. By focusing on honesty and excellent service, Alloy Market has paid millions to customers who walked away happy. We couldn’t be prouder of the company we’ve built and are confident you’ll love our product and service too.

Your payout is determined using the following steps:

1. Purity: The purity of gold is measured in karats (K), with 24K being pure gold. Gold items are often made from alloys that contain other metals, so the purity of the gold content needs to be determined. This can be done using various testing methods, such as electronic testing, acid testing, or X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis.

2. Weight: The weight of the gold item is measured in grams or troy ounces. Accurate weighing scales licensed by the State of Pennsylvania are used to determine the precise weight of the gold items, excluding any other materials or stones present in the item.

3. Market price: The current market price of gold is an essential factor in determining the value of gold items. Gold prices fluctuate daily based on supply and demand, economic factors, and global events. Evaluators stay up-to-date with the latest market trends and have pricing data refreshed every 60 seconds to provide industry leading offers.

4. Evaluation: Based on the purity, weight, and current market price of gold, evaluators calculate the value of the gold item. For example, if a gold item has a purity of 18K and weighs 10 grams, the gold content is 7.5 grams (as 18K gold contains 75% gold). The value is calculated by multiplying the weight of the gold (7.5 grams) by the current market price per gram.

The most. Alloy has the strongest relationships with suppliers in the industry and we pass that benefit on directly to you so you get the highest payout, guaranteed.

Alloy guarantees a minimum payout of 60% of the spot melt value for precious metals such as gold, silver, platinum and palladium. We also offer a 90.5% minimum guarantee for 24K gold or bullion.
